Job Description Serves as Finance Program Director for South Region Acute Care Services, handling financial statement analysis, monthly reporting, budget creation, proforma creation, and cost efficiency analysis. Supports the CFO in critical projects including budgets, presentations to governance boards, and organizational assignments. Provides timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends to assist the CFO and senior executives. Collaborates with Senior Finance Leaders within regional business units to align and integrate systems. Manages capital allocation planning, reporting actual spending for ACS projects, and develops routine financial presentations reflecting ACS strategies and performance. Creates monthly ACS financial reporting packages and a written CFO letter on South Region performance for Corporate. Provides financial support for ACS departments monthly and during budget preparation. Coordinates ACS financial leaders to meet corporate deadlines, including monthly financial statement submissions and footnote templates. Participates in balance sheet reconciliations. Ensures coordination and synergy between hospital finance and accounting teams. Acts as project manager for ACS-wide finance-related projects and engagements. Tracks results of ACS-wide performance improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Skill set to compile and analyze financial information on trended data for financial decision making, organize and present the analysis and recommendations to management in a written format or oral format. [Required]
Ability to coordinate the development, implementation and deployment of strategic information to assist the organization's overall performance. [Required]
Ability to work in a project-oriented environment that is fast paced with individuals across the organization [Required]
Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint [Required]
Working knowledge of healthcare accounting methods and reporting, standards development, costing methodologies, utilization measurements, and financial modeling. [Required]
Strong interpersonal and managerial skills; self‑motivated; effective time management, prioritization, and decision‑making skills; able to follow‑up and bring closure to issues [Required]
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to form relationships with various levels of hospital team members; able to create an environment for proactive dialogue, collaboration, and accountability [Required]
Ability to problem solve and critically think through situations to provide useful and actionable analysis [Required]
Ability to work independently, thinking through the next steps proactively to produce a work product that is on time and accurate. [Required]
Knowledge of database networks and other financial resources/software [Preferred]
Understanding of revenue, expense, budgeting, capital and cost management cycles [Preferred]
Proven inter‑personal skills for small and large group settings [Preferred]
Aspiration to professional quality of workmanship [Preferred]
Education
Bachelor's [Required]

Field of Study
Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting - strongly preferred
Work Experience
3+ applicable healthcare financial management experience, including operational involvement and/or project management [Required]
3+ management experience [Required]
