Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated
Sushi Cook
to join our upscale culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring precision, creativity, and a passion for high-quality ingredients, delivering an exceptional dining experience through expertly crafted sushi. Open availability is a must.
Responsibilities
Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty rolls with consistency and attention to detail
Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of all fish and ingredients
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary sushi station at all times
Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate execution of orders
Monitor product freshness and quality, ensuring all dishes meet presentation standards
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Contribute to menu development and daily specials when applicable
Experience
Prior experience as a Sushi Cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
