
Division Order Analyst

Dagen is recruiting a detail-oriented Senior Division Order Analyst to join our client's Land Administration Division Order team.
This role is responsible for facilitating the accurate distribution of proceeds from oil and gas sales and the collection of well expenses within an assigned region. The analyst will determine ownership interests—including working interest, overriding royalty, and royalty—through analysis of title documents, while maintaining and updating ownership records.
Key Responsibilities
Review and monitor well reports for assigned geographic areas
Determine division of interest, calculate ownership, and ensure timely payments
Perform deck setup for non-operated wells
Calculate and report ownership interests
Ensure well setup processes are aligned across Land Operations, Land Administration, and Accounting
Adhere to contractual obligations and state statutory payment requirements
Revise ownership interests based on deeds, assignments, judgments, and decrees
Process ownership changes and maintain accurate records
Set up and maintain units, including amendments and revisions
Analyze and interpret leases, division orders, contracts, deeds, title opinions, probate documents, and assignments
Identify and resolve data integrity issues
Determine and request documentation required to cure title defects
Obtain and interpret curative materials to resolve title issues
Interpret contracts and leases to resolve technical, data, and procedural discrepancies
Prepare division orders, supplemental division orders, and transfer orders for payment disbursement
Collaborate across departments including Land, Accounting, Marketing, and Legal
Communicate with legal teams as needed regarding title and ownership matters
Support process improvements and recommend enhancements where applicable
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
4+ years of Division Order or related Land Administration experience
Strong knowledge of land principles, ownership calculations, and title analysis
General understanding of land terminology, contracts, and oil & gas operations
Experience analyzing land data and maintaining land systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with Quorum Land System and/or SAP is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
