Daytona International Speedway is a state‑of‑the‑art motorsports facility awarded the SportsBusiness Journal’s Sports Facility of the Year award in 2016. It is home to the Daytona 500 and hosts a diverse schedule of racing and special events, earning it the title of the World Center of Racing.

Position Summary Marketing Event Assistant –

Marketing Event Assistant

– based in Daytona Beach, FL, supporting Daytona International Speedway and the Southeast Region track at Homestead‑Miami Speedway. The role requires a detail‑oriented, self‑motivated individual willing to work in a fast‑paced environment, earn trust with NASCAR brand requirements, and occasionally travel within the region.

Responsibilities

Assist with coordination and execution of VIP experiences for promotional prize winners.

Create itineraries and manage communication for promotional winners.

Manage distribution of promotional inventory to TV and radio partners, and to agencies.

Help coordinate logistics and set‑up for remote broadcasts with radio partners; plan pre‑event deliverables.

Support local marketing efforts for all events across the Southeast region, including content development, copy, briefs, proofing, performance reporting, and asset management.

Assist in the development and execution of on‑site signage.

Provide marketing tactics support to match overall campaign success.

Execute Local Market Activation program, distributing assets and working with CVB and Chamber of Commerce partners.

Maintain marketing collateral inventory for grassroots and on‑site events.

Represent DIS at grassroots events to drive awareness, data collection, and ticket sales.

Manage and maintain marketing assets in Microsoft SharePoint – upload, organize, and create content for accessibility and consistency.

Support creative deliverables for Daytona International Speedway events via Adobe Workfront, developing briefs and managing projects.

Assist with website updates including copywriting, content edits, and ticket submissions.

Organize and inventory marketing storage areas, ensuring proper cataloging and accessibility of promotional items and signage.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing or Sports Management.

Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Highly self‑motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of thriving in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments.

Willingness to learn and understand NASCAR brand requirements, sales systems, databases, and partnership management.

Basic knowledge of motorsports and NASCAR a plus.

Team player committed to event success.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and other related software.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record (approval required for company vehicles). Ability to lift over 50 lbs.

Willingness to learn and maintain a positive attitude.

Compensation and Logistics Position pays $15.00/hour as a seasonal role. Housing is not provided. Travel within the Southeast region for events is reimbursed by the company.
