Commercial Lines Account Manager - Insurance Agency - Base Salary to 90k/year - Columbus, OH
Our client, an established independent insurance agency, is seeking a
Commercial Lines Account Manager
to manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. This role focuses on client retention, policy management, and coverage strategy—working closely with carriers and insureds to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
This is a
client-facing service role (non-producer)
supporting community association clients, including condominium and homeowners' associations.
Responsibilities
Manage and service a book of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring strong client retention and satisfaction
Oversee the full renewal lifecycle including marketing, quoting, binding, and policy delivery
Analyze client risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions (General Liability, Property, Umbrella, Directors & Officers, etc.)
Market new and renewal business to carriers to obtain competitive quotes and coverage terms
Review policies, endorsements, audits, and coverage changes for accuracy and completeness
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance on coverage, claims, and risk management strategies
Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and internal team members
Identify opportunities for account rounding, cross‑selling, and coverage enhancements
Qualifications
5+ years of experience managing and servicing commercial insurance accounts within an insurance agency or brokerage environment
Active Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license in the state of Ohio
Experience handling renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and client service activities
Ability to work in a hybrid schedule (2–3 days per week in the Columbus, OH office)
