Director, Compensation We’re seeking a strategic, business-minded
Director of Compensation
to lead compensation strategy in a Private Equity–backed, fast-paced industrial environment. This is a high-impact role for a leader who thrives on pace, complexity, and partnership—and who wants meaningful exposure to senior leaders.
In this role, you’ll lead and develop a strong compensation team while partnering closely with business leaders, HR, Finance, and ownership to solve real business challenges—growth, performance, transformation, and talent outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Lead and develop a strong compensation team with a focus on capability, resilience, and impact
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and HR Business Partners, bringing data-driven insight and sound judgment
Design and evolve compensation programs (base pay, incentives, job architecture) that support pay-for-performance and value creation
Translate complex compensation concepts into clear, practical guidance for leaders and employees
Balance strong governance with speed, flexibility, and business pragmatism
What You’ll Bring
8+ years of progressive compensation experience, including people leadership
Experience in Private Equity–backed, high-growth, or transformation-oriented environments
Strong business insight, intellectual curiosity, and comfort operating at pace
Ability to influence, educate, and build credibility at all levels, including executives and ownership groups
CCP strongly preferred
This role is ideal for a compensation leader who is energized by PE environments and intentionally seeking visibility, accountability, and impact.

Where You'll Work This is a hybrid-based role that will report out of our headquarters in Downers Grove, IL
The salary range is $180,000 - $210,000. This role is also eligible for incentive pay.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be motivated by a variety of factors including the candidate’s meaningful experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
