Volunteer/Transportation Coordinator Job Description
20 hrs. a week/ M-F 9-1 with occasional change for events approx. 1 x a month
Primary Function: The primary function of the Volunteer/Transportation Coordinator is to develop, promote, implement, maintain and evaluate a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization, in collaboration with the Program Director.

Residence in the community where job is located
Participation and involvement in many community efforts
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Accountable to the Program Director and the Board of Directors.
Promote programs in a variety of ways
Assist with marketing program specifically social media
Arrange and coordinate transportation requests and volunteer drivers
Enter data into database program
Recruit and train Volunteers on an ongoing basis for a variety of volunteer work
Conduct informational sessions on a variety of topics related to volunteering
Provide ongoing support and guidance for volunteers
Plan and prep monthly volunteer coffee days
Be responsible for annual recognition events for Volunteers
Prepare Activity Report and Volunteer Coordinators report in preparation for monthly Board Meeting
Attend meetings and education that pertain to the success for the HELPERS program
Participate in planning, securing donations and working fundraising efforts
Collaborate with Program Director to complete required reports to a variety of sources
Assist with Helpers exercise program
Coordinate Volunteers for Meals on Wheels and Commodities Deliveries
Assist with Fundraising Activities when requested
Assist in arranging bus trips and other social functions
Answer phone calls and assist with walk-ins. Assist with bank deposits, mail and thank you notes
Other duties as assigned
