Associate Director of Digital Learning & Online Education (HEA) City College of New York, a constituent of The City University of New York, is hiring for the newly created position of Associate Director of Digital Learning and Online Education. The role reports to the Dean of Engineering and will develop and lead the Grove School of Engineering’s digital education strategy, expanding access through online and hybrid offerings.

Position Details The Grove School of Engineering at The City College of New York seeks applicants for a newly created position of Associate Director of Digital Learning and Online Education. The position will report to the Dean of Engineering. The Associate Director of Digital Learning and Online Education will develop and lead GSOE’s digital education strategy, expanding access through online and hybrid offerings. The role involves instructional design, faculty support, technology integration, and digital credentialing.

Campus-specific Information and Duties

Develop and implement a strategic plan for digital and hybrid course delivery across GSOE programs.

Support faculty in the design and continuous improvement of online learning experiences.

Oversee adoption and optimization of LMS platforms, digital tools, and asynchronous content.

Ensure online offerings meet quality standards in accessibility, engagement, and learning outcomes.

Collaborate with university-wide digital learning offices and technology providers.

Explore and launch microcredentials and digital badges aligned with workforce needs.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree and six years’ related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in instructional design, engineering education, or educational technology.

5+ years of experience in leading online education or instructional technology teams.

Proven record of innovation in course development and delivery.

Deep knowledge of digital learning platforms, tools, and pedagogical frameworks.

Experience with advancing projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders.

FLSA Exempt

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $98,995 - $121,194. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
