Title and Compensation Title: Ambassador

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt – Part-Time – $15.50 per hour

Location: Verrado | Buckeye, AZ

Summary Ambassadors will actively support community values and visions, demonstrating a supportive and organized style that meets resident needs with a high level of satisfaction. They will provide a warm, welcoming, professional approach, using their experience, skills, and exceptional communication abilities with all stakeholders.

Ambassadors will monitor use of private resident facilities, adjacent grounds, and activities during specified times; set the tone for customer service, hospitality, and stakeholder interactions; model neighborliness and inclusion; and contribute to the success of events, programs, and resident engagement experiences.

Responsibilities

Serve as “first responder” and “gate keeper” for the amenities and team, answering questions, providing assistance, and responding to needs quickly and accurately.

Promote and inform residents of current and upcoming clubs, classes, programs, and events; assist with registration as appropriate.

Handle customer service needs with a friendly and caring yet assertive demeanor, following community standards and facility guidelines; manage escalated situations and encourage compliance with policies.

Showcase amenities and programs to visitors through tours.

Monitor interior and exterior spaces, including facility grounds, pool, and adjacent areas, focusing on the pool during high traffic season.

Assist with events, programs and activities as requested.

Assist with administrative functions such as updating community bulletin boards, event calendars, hard copy materials, displays, data entry, inventory, ordering, and printing reports.

Serve as primary contact for individuals and groups renting or using amenities; explain rules, provide information, review rental checklists, ensure proper set‑up, and inspect post‑event compliance.

Perform light cleanup, tidy and reset furniture, and wipe down tables and chairs to maintain a clean appearance.

Submit work orders and follow up as necessary.

Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds, stay on feet for long periods, and physically complete duties.

Attributes

Education or experience in customer service, recreation programming, recreation facilities oversight or a similar background.

Knowledge & Experience

Experience in customer service, hospitality, sales, or a similar discipline.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management tools.

Knowledge of residential real estate and/or home building is desirable, but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Some work performed outdoors and may require working in all types of weather.

Comfortable being on feet for long periods and able to lift at least 30 pounds frequently.
