Role The Intermediate Interiors Designer works in the various phases of small and/or specialized phases of large, complex projects, assisting with rendered plans and section elevations, casino and equipment layouts, furniture layouts, color and material boards, drawing presentations, and product sourcing. The Intermediate Interior Designer participates in complex interior design assignments, supports the preparation of drawings, Revit and CAD designs, graphics and sketching, client presentations, and organizes sample resources.
Responsibilities
Develop innovative design concepts that are practical, aesthetic, safe, and reflect the intended purpose and function of the project.
Prepare and provide assignments with a focus on keeping the project on schedule and within budget.
Select and specify interior architectural materials and finishes, including furniture, lighting, and artwork, to carry out the design intent.
Be able to independently deliver design concepts and conduct programming efforts, such as casino space planning, layout, and FF&E utilization, lighting, and color coordination.
Render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings.
Participate in team meetings to align the project deliverables to the design intent and prepare and participate in client presentations.
Prepare and update documents during schematic design through construction document phases.
Coordinate with the Purchasing Agent on bids and subcontracting fabrication.
Assist with installation and arrangement of the materials, finishes, and equipment furnishings as required.
Communicate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to incorporate all required information into the project.
Implement and follow Wimberly Interiors standards for all projects and processes.
Understand technical regulations and code compliance requirements.
Complete technical research and prepare specification manuals.
Incorporate integrated sustainable design solutions into projects.
Foster a commitment to external and internal client service.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
3+ years of casino design experience is required.
8+ years of experience designing and delivering interior design projects.
Proficient technical expertise in Revit is required.
Proficient technical expertise in MS Office, Adobe Suite, DesignSmart, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design tools.
Moderate level of experience in graphic design concepts, hand‑sketching, vignette scenes, hand coloring, renderings, and shop drawings.
Ability to meet deadlines, work effectively in a team environment, and manage multiple priorities within established timelines and budgets.
Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
