Job Goal As a member of the Human Resources team make a meaningful contribution to the success of Edmond Public Schools by supporting efficient management of personnel actions and administration of policies affecting and defining the relationship between the District and its employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process personnel actions, including new hires, terminations and changes of status.
Work with Human Resources team and District Administrators to manage all technical and procedural aspects of the application process.
Manage technical and procedural aspects of posting/announcement of vacant positions.
Confidentially and efficiently maintain employee records.
Assist Administration in certain aspects of assessing and verifying employee credentials, including appropriate certifications and eligibility to work under state and federal law.
Interface with payroll department and benefits coordinator to ensure timely and accurate transfer of employee information necessary to process payment of wages and benefits.
Prepare schedules of employee status changes as required for the Board agenda.
Provide various reports for internal and external analysis and legal/regulatory compliance.
Provide support for collective bargaining negotiations for the assigned employee group.
Within parameters established by HR Administrators, communicate with employees regarding District policies and Administrative and Board actions.
Assist with administration of employee recognition and awards programs.
Assist/coordinate departmental efforts in employee recruitment, including participation in and presentation at job fairs.
Assist with new employee orientation, including scheduling and preparing communication pieces, and presenting information at orientation programs.
Generate re-hire/no-hire employee list by site and category and prepare end-of-year intent to rehire letters.
Generate employee list by site and category for evaluation purposes and enter evaluations into software.
Distribute, collect and document wage calcs, contracts, criminal questionnaires District wide.
Order personnel forms for the District and distribute to sites.
Annually maintain the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Support Employee's Manual and Before/After School daycare manual per any changes from Negotiations.
Other duties as assigned consistent with achievement of the District mission.
Length of Contract Two hundred forty (240) contract days. Salary commensurate with experience on the negotiated agreement of the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE).
Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Human Resources Supervisor in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies, state law, and the negotiated agreement with the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES None.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), one year of clerical or office experience.

COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to communicate in both form and substance in a manner that affects a positive and professional image for the District and the Human Resources Department. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from individuals and groups, including employees, parents, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.
REASONING SKILLS Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Ability to learn and adapt to changes in software products and other advancements in technology. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to organize and chair or facilitate committees and meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
