Position Purpose Provides executive support for the Deputy Superintendent, Chief of Schools in leading continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring operational readiness for the executive team. Coordinates multiple workstreams, completing detail-oriented tasks, and meeting urgent deadlines. Conceptualizes project structures, monitoring execution, progress, and performance. Prepares reports and presents findings to multiple stakeholders. Manages components of the strategic planning process, including but not limited to development of strategic plans and alignment with district strategy. Directs and manages the development and implementation of special projects and operational activities. Performs complex and diverse administrative functions to promote smooth and efficient operations; exercises discretion in handling all business.
Executive Support & Project Management
Anticipates needs to ensure maximum efficiency of the Deputy Superintendent; removing barriers and preserving time on high-value functions.
Provides advice and guidance to other stakeholders with respect to procedures, processes, and practices; serves as a School Leadership liaison with departments.
Plans, organizes, and monitors a wide variety of assignments, ensuring compliance with established state and federal guidelines where applicable.
Provides direction and coordinates work for internal and cross‑functional projects; maintains effective communication, clear procedures, and efficient workflow.
Attends planning meetings and works with stakeholders to identify and serve district needs.
Participates in a variety of cross‑functional meetings for the purpose of conveying and gathering information required to support completion of critical initiatives and strategic priorities.
Co‑ordinates with team members, other departments, and other stakeholders on initiatives that maximize district effectiveness and efficiency.
Supports development strategies that focus on processes to streamline multiple functional areas in alignment with School Leadership needs and district priorities.
Supports creation and implementation of initiative and special project work plans, revises as appropriate to meet changing scope, requirements, and deadlines.
Plans, coordinates, collaborates, develops, and designs special projects including preparing drafts, finalizing work plans, documenting progress, maintaining files and databases, communicating expectations; meets with stakeholders to ensure key milestones are achieved on schedule.
Performs actions authorized during the absence of the Deputy and uses initiative and judgment to see matters requiring attention are referred to the delegated authority.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Designs, collects, compiles, and analyzes data to evaluate performance analysis; presenting findings to stakeholders.
Uses appropriate methodologies, software, and tools to conduct analyses and develop reports to inform District leadership.
Monitors and tracks progress and completion of strategic plans; ensures completion of projects; produces reports on the progress and status of plans.
Prepares written formative and summative reports that communicate results effectively; presents results to multiple audiences.
Researches topics required to manage School Leadership initiatives (such as relevant policies, new federal and state statutes, instructional best practices, staffing requirements, and financial resources) for the purpose of maintaining compliance of educational programs/services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, securing general information, and/or responding to requests.
Prepares presentations and reports for meetings and presentations to the Board.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required;
Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Certification/License:
Valid Texas Teaching Certification, Texas Mid‑Management or Principal Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), or other relevant certifications preferred.
Experience:
5 years progressively responsible experience in district strategy, school improvement, project management, or campus leadership required;
Experience in a large, urban educational setting preferred.
