Assistant Property Manager – Grove City, Ohio
Burlington Capital Properties is looking for an Assistant Property Manager to join our team in Grove City, OH. We pride ourselves on providing a quality living experience to our residents and value demonstrated customer service and resident relations skills.
Qualified applicants must have previous customer service and/or leasing/sales experience. Tax credit experience is preferred. This full‑time position requires Monday–Friday 9 AM–6 PM with occasional weekend hours.
The Successful Candidate Will
Follow and enforce policies and procedures that enhance on‑site operations.
Assist with daily property operations.
Perform leasing functions, including greeting, touring, and qualifying prospective residents.
Prepare documentation and perform administrative duties.
Complete move‑in and move‑out procedures.
Interact daily with prospective residents to achieve occupancy goals.
Actively promote resident retention, leasing, and marketing programs.
Participate in resident retention/relations activities.
Participate in all staff meetings and contribute to team efforts.
Assist With LIHTC Reporting And Compliance
Complete annual and interim certifications, as well as various HUD and tax‑credit reporting requirements.
Maintain compliance with all LIHTC and Section 8 rules and regulations.
Collect, deposit, and record all required funds in a timely manner.
Record, report, approve, and allocate expenses according to company guidelines and budget.
Required Education, Certifications And Experience
Two or more years of HUD/LIHTC and Section 8 housing experience.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor‑vehicle record.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Bilingual (preferred).
Basic understanding of English and effective verbal and written communication.
Positive interaction with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
Basic accounting/financial record‑keeping knowledge.
Basic computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office.
Ability to follow directives and work with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills.
