Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:
WUNC Radio provides quality news, information and entertainment programming to a broad listening audience that includes North Carolina, the United States and the world. WUNC serves North Carolinians from Greensboro to the Outer Banks through a network of ten stations. Position Summary:
Audio engineering of WUNC remote events, including Public Address systems, recorded events (mixer to recording device) and assistance for live remote broadcasts. In house, there will be computer desktop support. There may be some in-studio broadcast work as well. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency and completion of a two-year technical school program in electronics; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Management Preferences: Experience with audio, live (spoken word) sound. Experience with remote audio set-up. Experience with computer desktop support. Experience with Audio over IP (AoIP) Special Physical/Mental Requirements:
Must be able to move up to 50 lbs., as well as ascend/descend stairs (and possibly ladders), with or without accommodation. Driving to offsite locations for live sound/recording is required. Campus Security Authority Responsibilities:
