Description The Strategic Partner Recruitment Specialist plays a critical role in advancing the firm’s lateral growth strategy by supporting the identification, engagement, and evaluation of directly sourced partner-level talent. This position focuses on coordinating internally sourced candidate pipelines, facilitating strategic outreach efforts, and ensuring alignment between recruiting initiatives and firmwide hiring priorities. The Specialist partners closely with hiring partners, department leadership, and cross-functional teams to drive an organized, data-informed approach to internal lateral partner recruitment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Work closely with the Manager of Strategic Partner Recruitment, Strategic Growth Committee, Next Gen Committee, and other Firm leaders to deliver well supported assessments and recommendations to move lateral partner prospects through the consideration process.
Lead and/or participate in initial calls with internally sourced lateral partner prospects
Support and execute targeted outreach initiatives to prospective lateral partners
Facilitate intermittent and quarterly check-ins with hiring partners and department chairs to track hiring needs and pipeline progress
Schedule intake conversations with hiring partners and ensure the search intake form is completed and shared with the Chief Growth Strategist for approval
Collaborate with Knowledge Management & Innovation to request and assess competitive market intelligence and recruiting insights
Conduct research on prospective candidates utilizing internal database resources such as Pirical
Monitor and track direct applicants generated through occasional online lateral partner postings
Coordinate the interview and evaluation process for internally sourced and directly identified lateral partner prospects
Track candidate statuses through applicant tracking system and various spreadsheets
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) Education
Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Equivalent education and work experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Experience
Minimum four years of legal recruitment experience required.
Experience with sourcing and hiring lateral attorneys.
Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter™, v iDesktop, Pirical (or similar technology).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to client service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously under strict time constraints.
Possess confidence and the capability to interact with the Firm's Leadership on a regular basis.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
