Summary
The Guest Services Ambassador represents Stone Mountain Park by providing the highest level of customer service to guests with park knowledge to help guests plan their visit through the park, which includes distributing Stone Mountain information, as well as selling admission tickets and memberships at remote locations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for reviewing The Daily Adventure Plan to ensure that accurate information is provided to guests
Smile and treat guests with friendliness and respect
Provide guests with information regarding activities conducted at the park
Provide guests with directions to attractions, food and merchandise venues, offices, and special events
Explain ticket prices, attractions schedules, and special park events
Communicate correct product information to guests regarding coupons, special offers, and upcoming events
Explain the benefits of park memberships/annual passes
Maintain a working relationship with other departments to ensure up-to-date product knowledge
Remote location ticketing duties include:
Sell park memberships/annual passes
Assisting individuals or groups with tickets and brochures
Collecting and securing money from tickets sold, providing guests with correct change
Keeping records of tickets sold
Maintaining brochure and supply inventory in ticket kiosk
Maintaining clean working environment
All other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Must understand, read, write and speak the English language
Must be at least 16 years old
Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must have excellent communication skills and sense of appropriateness to converse with employees and guests
Must be able to responsibly handle large sums of money
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Must be able to speak to large crowds
Must be able to understand a personal computer’s basic functions and operate it
Must be able to take direction from others in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Education And Experience
Some high school education; or at least one-month related Customer Service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous cash handling experience preferred
Previous sales experience preferred
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit and stand for long periods of time and walk. The employee must be able to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle, and feel. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull at least 50 lbs. Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus and night vision. The employee must be able to take directional cues directly or indirectly.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions
The employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions, extreme heat or extreme cold
The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate
The environment can be moderate to fast paced
