We encourage you to apply to become a part of our team!**Description of Work**The Deputy Director manages the day-to-day operations of the site, directly supervising the management staff. This position manages all capital improvement requests and projects and oversee the repair and maintenance of all Tryon Palace structures and properties. This position provides oversight of the state operations, planning and development activities, and liaison responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead the management team by organizing and directing centralized support services of finance management, institutional research, management of facilities and grounds, retail operations, security and safety, and interpretation/programming and education.

• Manage Tryon Palace private and state budgets and grants.

• Serve as liaison with the Tryon Palace Commission and Tryon Palace Foundation.

• Serve as institutional liaison with local, city and county agencies.

• Prepare progress reports, budget analysis, and major project reports as required to present to stakeholders.

• Work with Executive Director on long-range planning.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences****Recruitment Range: $70,478.00 - $86,887.00****To receive credit for your work history and credentials, you must provide the information on the application form.
