M.C. Dean is seeking a marketing and communications Specialist 4 to join our dynamic team based in Tysons, VA. Together we are enhancing M.C. Dean's brand visibility, enabling client growth, promoting employee engagement, and advancing organizational development.

Responsibilities The business partner will lead strategic, integrated marketing communications campaign efforts for one of M.C. Dean's fastest growing strategic business units (SBU). The candidate will report dually to M.C. Dean's chief marketing officer (hard line report) and the SBU senior vice president (dotted line report).

Growth‑generating Marketing Campaigns:

Develop and implement market, geographic, and/or client‑targeted marketing programs supporting new business capture and long‑term positioning. Support SBU leadership to research and define market segmentation, pipeline opportunities, and growth priorities. Work with SBU leadership and the CMO to develop marcomm campaigns and annual plans that best support the organization's growth goals.

Sales Enablement:

Develop and maintain sales and marketing tools and training to support customer growth and attract talent on behalf of the SBU:

Develop print, digital, and multimedia marketing materials.

Manage virtual and in‑person client‑, employee‑ and recruiting‑focused trade shows and events.

Facilitate new business presentations, orals, and customer demonstrations from conception through implementation. Coach division managers on customer‑facing demonstrations, presentations, and event best practices.

Stay abreast of industry, customer, and competitor news and trends. Support market research and analysis to identify opportunities early in the business development lifecycle.

Develop, implement, and promote an annual awards and rankings program for the SBU, coordinating cross‑SBU on priorities.

Establish, maintain, manage, and track an SBU conference, event, speaking, interview calendar for integration into the corporate tracking calendars. Identify and successfully place/pitch leadership for speaking, interview, and conference participation opportunities.

Support marketing for SBU‑focused recruiting initiatives leveraging the corporate HR communications resources and standards.

Corporate Marketing, Branding & Communications:

Ensure representation and alignment between SBU strategic priorities and corporate‑wide marketing, branding, and communications channels, platforms, initiatives, and events to advance customer development and employee engagement.

Identify and coach division demonstration teams for the annual TechExpo conference and other corporate‑sponsored events. Coordinate customer engagement with the operations team to maximize client participation.

Develop new website content to promote the division as part of the overarching M.C. Dean brand story.

Maintain a monthly editorial calendar featuring wins, project milestones, technology development milestones, and key staff acknowledgments aligned with strategy or values.

Identify and establish partnership marketing initiatives, including maintaining a list of OEM partners and certifications.

Serve as the brand steward for the division, providing brand management, integration, training and alignment with M.C. Dean brand resources and standards.

Lead and support corporate‑wide initiatives. Support department leadership to advance M.C. Dean's marketing maturity both within the marketing communications function and with operational stakeholders. Participate in and facilitate functional cross‑training initiatives to share successes and best practices across the marketing and communications function.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or industry‑related degree with relevant marketing and communications experience

Minimum 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications with bachelor's degree

Minimum 2 years management experience

Demonstrated expertise working with highly technical content and ability to tailor information for both lay and specialized audiences

Previous experience working for professional services, technology, federal contracting, manufacturing, and/or AEC firms; EPC industry experience strongly preferred

Demonstrated leadership for results‑driven marketing campaigns and client engagement programs

Experience managing integrated campaigns as an external or in‑house consultant

Experience managing marketing and employee events, site tours, and demonstrations

Excellent written communications skills with mastery of AP Style guidelines

Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience managing complex marketing, thought leadership, and creative projects requiring coordination of in‑house and vendor resources to deliver high‑quality, high‑impact campaigns

Familiarity with SharePoint and website content management systems

Experience with web analytics and media and social media distribution and tracking tools

Highly collaborative team player willing to jump in to support others on the team

Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines, and creatively solve problems

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Demonstrated analytical skills with research experience

Ability to interface with all levels of management

Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week

Ability to travel to regional and national project sites and our Modular Mission Critical manufacturing facility (approx. 20%)
