Next 150 Construction, a fully owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company, is seeking a Senior Field Training Specialist to design and deliver hands‑on training programs for field staff in a self‑perform labor environment. This role ensures workforce readiness, safety compliance, and skill development aligned with operational goals. This role will sit primarily in the office, but travel to the project job sites meeting with the project teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
Conduct skills gap analyses and recommend targeted training interventions
Measure training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics; implement improvements as needed
Partner with project managers, superintendents, and HR teams to align training programs with operational goals
Develop and facilitate technical training programs tailored to craft labor workforce (union and non‑union) and field management teams to increase workforce competency and readiness
Create engaging curricula aligned with industry standards, company policies, and project requirements
Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including hands‑on demonstrations, simulations, and digital learning platforms
Develop and implement technical training curricula for craft labor roles
Conduct field‑based training sessions and workshops on tools, equipment, and safety practices
Collaborate with field operations and HR to identify skill gaps and training needs
Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback and performance metrics
Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
Support onboarding of new hires with foundational technical training
Partner with safety teams to integrate safety protocols into technical instruction
Contribute to the development of career pathways and upskilling initiatives

Experience / Education
Bachelor's degree in Education, Construction, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in construction or technical training
OSHA certification or equivalent safety training credentials preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Experience with LMS platforms and training documentation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. The pay ranges from $90,000.00–$120,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
