Sales Engineer
AUI™ (Augmented Intelligence), San Francisco, CA, United States
At AUI, we are pioneering the next generation of conversational AI agents with Apollo. Apollo isn't just another language model, it’s a fundamentally new kind of system: a neuro-symbolic foundation model built for controllable enterprise agents. While most AI tools are powerful but unpredictable, Apollo is designed to be both—combining the fluency of modern LLMs with the precision of rule-based controllability.
This achieves what customers have been trying—and failing—to build for years: AI agents that can be trusted in production. Our unique approach enables unprecedented granular control over agent behavior in each interaction, including the ability to implement hard rules and continuously fine-tune performance based on real-world feedback.
Apollo is already proven in production with Fortune 500 customers and continues to demonstrate state-of-the‑art results in demanding domains like retail and travel. We believe this technology is the essential unlock for truly reliable and scalable conversational agents across consumer and enterprise applications, moving the entire field forward. We invented this approach, and we're looking for passionate individuals to help us bring its power to the world.
The Role As a Sales Engineer, you won’t just demo a product—you’ll help define a new category. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their use cases, map Apollo’s capabilities to real problems, and show—live—what’s now possible when AI is both powerful and controllable.
You’ll partner directly with the Chief Commercial Officer to set up demo environments, tailor configurations and guide customers through early product adoption. This role blends hands‑on technical work with customer‑facing communication and requires a strong understanding of how our product fits into real‑world workflows.
What you’ll do
Work directly with customers to accelerate their agent build, pushing them to leverage the full product capabilities and prioritise the right use cases.
Build, configure and maintain product demos and proof‑of‑concept environments.
Support the CCO in customer calls, technical walkthroughs and evaluations.
Translate customer needs into configuration plans and lightweight technical requirements.
Drive end‑to‑end execution from demo → pilot → production, ensuring momentum and accountability at each stage
Create and refine documentation, run books, and internal best practices as the product and motion evolve
Partner with product and engineering to relay customer feedback and edge cases.
Provide early‑stage onboarding support and help customers become productive quickly.
What We’re Looking For:
5-10 years in solution engineering, implementation, or technical customer‑facing roles.
Strong technical aptitude (APIs, integrations, data workflows, system configuration).
Clear communicator who’s comfortable in both technical and commercial conversations.
High ownership and execution: organized, responsive and able to juggle multiple deployments.
Customer‑first mindset and ability to translate needs into practical solutions.
California State Residents: The expected salary range for this position is between $160k – $210k for California State residents and is experience dependent.
