The Team The American Girl Retail team provides lifelong memories to fans and families. Our experiential retail stores are unique destinations, ranging from Girl and Doll Salons, full‑service restaurants, personal shopping, ear piercing, hosting parties, and more. It is a dynamic, fast‑paced role that requires innovation, collaboration, and execution.

The Opportunity The Asset Protection Associate is located at the AG Retail Flagship Chicago location and reports directly to the Retail Asset Protection Manager. The role maintains a safe environment for customers and employees, safeguards company assets, and balances compassion with professionalism.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe environment for customers and employees by monitoring and correcting safety concerns, and guiding customer traffic when needed.

Provide external and internal customer service in a positive, friendly, and professional manner, and diffuse escalated situations.

Prevent loss of company assets through surveillance, employee and trash checks, and knowledge of civil and criminal laws related to retail security.

Serve as a safety mentor for store employees and lead by example.

Qualifications

Must be available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

One to two years of loss prevention, law enforcement, criminal justice, military, or security experience, preferred.

State‑specific license, if applicable.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work with a broad, diverse workforce and customer base, including children.
