The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no‑fee program that assists men and women in completing our rehabilitation program. It relies on the dedication and devotion of its employees.
About the Retail Team
Join a dedicated Retail Team at the Lodi Thrift Store that supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. This role offers an opportunity to promote a positive shopping/donor experience, enhance customer service, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills while contributing to program success.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Ensure all customers and donors are greeted and assisted in a friendly, courteous manner.
Stock priced items and prepare merchandise for display.
Maintain a clean, organized store and donation area; perform assigned cleaning duties.
Follow all POS/Cash Register policies in accordance with TSA procedures.
Maintain safety and compliance standards.
Attend required monthly store meetings.
Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory efficiently.
Inspect products for defects and damages, providing quality assurance.
Assist donors with removal of items from vehicles and issue receipts.
Separate and sort donated material into the correct containers and stack as instructed.
Perform other written and/or verbal duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Accurate handling of POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
Pass a background check, including criminal history and sex offender registry.
Effective communication with management, coworkers, customers, and donors.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist as needed.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as carts, fixtures, and furniture dolly.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Perform various repetitive motion tasks.
Task performance with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule
Stores operate seven days a week. Work schedules are determined by management. Part‑time associates may be scheduled for any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
