273915Las Vegas, Nevada**The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International****THE JOB:**The Director Internal Audit serves as an assistant to the ED, Internal Audit. Leads advanced level professional internal auditing work as a key component of the corporate governance structure. Work involves directing a comprehensive audit program including performance, financial, and compliance audit projects; providing consulting services to the organization's management and staff; and providing ongoing training, coaching and supervision to internal audit management and staff. Maintains organizational and professional ethical standards. Works independently with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgement.**\*This position is hybrid**
**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Directs audit staff in the planning, organizing, directing and monitoring of internal audit operations, including assisting in hiring, training and evaluating staff; and taking corrective actions to address performance issues.* Assists in the identification and evaluation of the organization’s risk areas and oversees the implementation of certain sections of the annual enterprise‐wide risk assessment and audit plan.* Directs the overall performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.* Provides guidance to the audit staff in conducting interviews, reviewing documents, developing and administering surveys, composing summary memos, and preparing working papers.* Directs the audit staff in the identification, development, and documentation of audit issues and recommendations.* Communicates the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.* Develops and maintains productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.* Pursues professional development opportunities, including internal and external training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co‐workers.* Represents internal audit at management meetings with external organizations.**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and brings eight or more years of progressive professional experience in auditing, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation, including at least four years in a supervisory or project management capacity.* They demonstrate strong expertise in internal auditing and accounting principles, along with a solid understanding of management practices and effective business operations.* The candidate possesses the ability to lead teams, oversee complex reviews or projects, and apply analytical and risk-based thinking to support organizational objectives.
