Why This Role Exists

We’re looking for a Paid Search Specialist who understands search as part of a bigger picture. Someone who thinks in terms of intent, respects creative, and believes the strongest performance comes from smart structure, constant curiosity, and close collaboration. This role supports a high volume retail brand with meaningful seasonal moments and deeply engaged customers. Search plays a critical role in how people find, discover, and convert with the brand. You’ll help shape that journey thoughtfully, building a search strategy that contributes to long term growth, learning, and connection across the full media mix rather than chasing last click wins. What You’ll Own

End to end paid search strategy and execution in Google Ads Thoughtful campaign architecture across brand, non brand, product, and seasonal initiatives Keyword and search term strategies rooted in real customer intent Ad copy and extensions that balance performance with brand voice and clarity Ongoing optimization focused on efficiency, learning, and sustainable growth Budget pacing and performance management with a clear point of view Turning performance data into insights and recommendations we can actually act on How You’ll Work With Us

You’ll operate as an extension of The Social Bodega team and collaborate closely with strategy, creative, and paid social partners. You’ll be involved in broader campaign thinking, not handed a brief and left alone. We value clear communication, shared ownership, and thoughtful perspectives. We care less about perfect dashboards and more about honest insights, smart questions, and strong next steps. Who You Are

3+ years managing Google Ads with confidence and autonomy Comfortable owning accounts without heavy oversight Experience with e-commerce or retail brands, especially those with seasonal demand Comfortable being client facing and able to clearly communicate strategy, performance, and recommendations Curious by nature and always asking why something is or isn’t working Organized, communicative, and thoughtful in how you collaborate Location

Ideally based in Austin, TX so we can collaborate in person from time to time. Open to candidates in other locations who are comfortable working remotely and staying closely connected. The Details
