Position Description
— Serve the students, families, and volunteers of Hutto Bible Church by providing vision, oversight, and pastoral care for Student Ministry. This role recruits, equips, encourages, and shepherds leaders and students (middle and high school), training them to walk with God, live on mission, and grow as disciples of Jesus. The Student Ministries Pastor partners closely with the Family Pastor to develop and implement programming for teen spiritual formation and to equip parents for family discipleship.
General Responsibilities

Develop and execute annual ministry plans, budgets, and calendars.
Steward time, finances, and resources wisely.
Collaborate with the Family Pastor, staff, and elders to advance the mission of Hutto Bible Church (helping people
know
Jesus,
love
Jesus,
live
for Jesus, and
tell
others about Him).
Carry out pastoral duties as assigned (e.g., counseling, teaching, preaching, weddings, funerals).
Student Ministry Responsibilities

Recruit, train, shepherd, and lead Student Ministry volunteers and teams.
Provide directional leadership for the Great Adventure.
Oversee all aspects of the Sunday morning student ministry experience.
Cultivate meaningful relationships with team members, encouraging spiritual growth and next steps.
Develop a balanced ministry emphasizing evangelism, Bible teaching, discipleship, and fellowship.
Partner with the Family Pastor and Children’s Ministry Director to equip parents of middle and high school students.
Evaluate and guide the direction and health of Student Ministry in collaboration with church leadership.
Ensure smooth transitions for students entering and exiting Student Ministry, including partnership with Spiritual Formation and college-age ministries.

Evident, growing relationship with Jesus Christ marked by the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22–25 ).
Clear sense of calling to vocational ministry and pastoral care (1 Pet. 5:2–3 ).
Humble, Christlike character demonstrated through servant leadership and love of others.
Visionary leader able to cast and pursue a compelling vision.
Agreement with the doctrinal statement, values, and ministry philosophy of Hutto Bible Church.
Willingly submits to the leadership of the elders of Hutto Bible Church.
Gifting and Skills
—
Strong team-based leadership with a shepherd’s heart.
Ability to recruit, train, and develop leaders who develop leaders.
Effective communicator with students, parents, volunteers, and staff.
Strategic and creative thinker able to design and manage ministry systems.
Competent in planning, organization, and execution of ministry objectives.
