What You'll Do The Wellness Director manages the operation of the Wellness Department, including maintaining standards in elder care services; supervision and oversight of the Wellness Department team, including training and assigning overall duties in accordance with the elders' needs; meeting financial and budgetary guidelines; and upholding state regulations and procedures.
As the Wellness Services Director, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:
Hiring, training, supervising, and assigning duties/tasks for all Wellness Department team members, with full accountability for performance.
Creating staffing schedules that meet state guidelines, time off requests, overtime guidelines, or other modifications.
Communicating and enforcing policies and procedures, and disciplining or recommending corrective action as needed.
Directing and coordinating elder service plans from move-in to move-out, completing timely and accurate assessments and evaluations as required by state regulations and Compass Senior Living policy.
Leading the Quality Assurance program, trending and tracking, and correcting incidents as required by State Regulators.
Performing licensed nurse tasks and medication passes within scope of practice as allowed by state law.
Coordinating care with third-party providers such as therapy, home healthcare, and hospice.
Supervising medication administration and/or assisting with self-administration of medication programs as required by state law.
Acting in the absence of the Administrator if necessary.
Establishing financial goals and budgetary guidelines for the Wellness Department.
Remaining abreast of current State regulations and compliance processes, such as State, OSHA, and EPA, and assisting the community in continued compliance with policies and procedures.
What You'll Bring
Licensed RN or LPN/LVN in good standing with State Licensing Authority.
Relevant experience in Assisted Living and Memory Care settings.
Desire and talent to work with a high-functioning, empowered team.
Compassion, kindness, and collaboration skills to work with elders and their families.
Computer literacy and proficiency in learning specified online programs.
Organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a team environment.
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and be goal-directed.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Aptitude to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues.
Good verbal communication and ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
Meet all health requirements as specified by state and/or federal regulations.
Ability to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pass a criminal background check.
