
Tax Experienced Associate, Transfer Pricing

Job Description
The Tax Experienced Associate, Transfer Pricing works with a team of consulting economists to help multi-national companies correctly price their transactions between entities within their corporate group. This role assists with examining economic conditions and industry trends, evaluating clients’ intercompany transactions and consulting to set or substantiate prices charged between related parties. The analysis supports compliance with foreign and domestic tax regulations. The position requires strong analytical, writing and editing skills, research acumen, and the ability to work with tax software to prepare simple tax returns.
Job Duties
Information Gathering: Conduct client interviews to collect data on corporate structure, functional responsibilities, risk distribution, value drivers, industry overview, and historical context.
Consulting: Provide tax advice on transfer pricing, develop work plans, learn and apply relevant tax law, monitor tax law and client factual developments.
Research: Identify research needs, locate and evaluate sources, analyze facts and authorities, and report findings.
Financial Analysis: Benchmark or document appropriate intercompany pricing policies using client financial data; perform market scenario or intangible value calculations; prepare project reports and presentations for clients.
Report Writing: Draft industry overviews, functional analyses, summaries, interview notes; proofread and edit reports; write technical memos illustrating analytical processes.
Additional Duties: Assist with internal and external presentations, research and training materials, knowledge‑sharing communications; participate in practice improvement initiatives.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, English or other relevant field (required).
Advanced degree preferred.
One or more years of experience in public accounting or professional services (required).
Experience reviewing tax provisions from a transfer pricing perspective preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Exposure to Go Systems, Bloomberg terminal, tax research databases (beneficial).
Exceptional research, writing, proof‑reading and editing skills.
Strong analytical, basic research, organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Knowledge of transfer pricing and willingness to learn more.
Salary National Range: $63,000 – $115,500 Maryland Range: $63,000 – $115,500 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $63,000 – $115,500 Washington DC Range: $63,000 – $115,500
