We are seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a high-volume Emergency Department within a growing acute care hospital. This role provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership focused on quality outcomes, patient throughput, staff engagement, and fiscal performance. This is a hands-on leadership position for an ED leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings a strong leadership presence. Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day and strategic operations of the Emergency Department Ensure high-quality, patient-centered emergency care Drive patient flow, throughput, and surge planning Manage staffing, productivity, budgets, and operational metrics Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards Develop, coach, and lead ED managers and clinical leaders Partner with physicians and hospital leadership on performance goals Department Snapshot
Level III Trauma Center ~50 ED beds Avg. daily volume: 180200 patients High EMS and high-acuity case mix Strong, collaborative provider culture Planned hospital expansion underway Required Qualifications
BSN required Active RN license (Texas or compact eligible) 1+ year of recent ED Director experience (exceptionally strong ED Managers may be considered) 3+ years of recent Emergency Department experience Proven success with operational metrics and staff leadership Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field Experience leading high-volume Emergency Departments Why Join
