Director of Dining Services/Cook

In this role you will oversee and control day to day operations of all dining services operations at the community. Responsibilities include: Following Company Dining Policy and Procedures and ensuring compliance of all department personnel. Purchasing of all dining food and nonfood items with 95% DSSI ordering compliance. Balancing and maintaining budgets for raw food and supplies. Utilizing company standard recipes for food production. Ensuring food is served at proper temperature and in proper portion sizes. Offering residents choice, dignity, and independence in dining. Developing and implementing operating and cleaning instructions/procedures. Performing Pre-meal Dining Stand-Up with service staff. Adhering to all company and local, state, and county health department regulations. Ensuring dining areas are clean and safely operating. Interviewing, managing, training, hiring, disciplining, and terminating dining staff personnel. Overseeing the scheduling of all food service personnel. Qualifications include: 3+ years of previous Food Service experience required. Management experience is a plus. Serv Safe and/or other required local, county or state certifications. Ability to switch tasks quickly and often. Positive and professional attitude with clear direction in a respectful demeanor. Pride in the quality and presentation of food and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas. Patience and ability to effectively communicate with different personalities.
