Assistant Director
for our STAR 4 Pottstown Center. In this hands‑on role, you’ll help lead daily operations, support a passionate team of educators, and ensure a safe, nurturing, and high‑quality learning environment for every child. What You’ll Get to Do (and Have Fun Doing!)
Keep the center running smoothly by assisting with day‑to‑day operations
Jump in to support staffing needs and make sure ratios are always met
Be the go‑to person between center staff and leadership
Lead engaging staff meetings and offer helpful classroom feedback
Support hiring, onboarding, and coaching of teachers
Organize training, keep supplies stocked, and help manage the facility
Ensure we’re meeting all licensing and accreditation standards
Build strong, positive relationships with families and keep communication flowing
Help bring our curriculum to life and encourage family involvement
Represent Wonderspring in the community and with partners
Your Special Skills & Qualities
Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field (bachelor’s preferred)
PA Director’s Credential, preferred
At least 2 years related center management experience of mid‑size Early Childhood programs
Experience successfully partnering with multiple agencies, preferred
Outstanding relationship builder within community
Demonstrated ability to manage the successful day to day operations of a high‑quality center
Knowledge and understanding of Keystone STARS
Knowledge and experience with Creative Curriculum & PATHS, preferred
Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.
