Description We help industry leaders in the communications, media, and technology industries develop value growth strategies, improve operations, and maximize organizational effectiveness. Our clients include wireless and wireline equipment and communications service providers, enterprise IT, consumer electronics, semiconductor companies, broadcasters, publishers, platform operators, online and entertainment companies.
Practice Overview: Consumer, Telco & Technology (CTT) CTT focuses on consumer‑facing industries converging with technology, driving B2C, B2B, and B2B2C services. We aim to build new partner connections by integrating expertise across retailers, technology, communications, media, and services.
Telco We support converged communications industry players – fixed‑line operators, Internet‑service providers, cable TV operators, mobile operators, wholesale operators, and private equity groups – in developing growth strategies, improving offers, and maximizing effectiveness.
Role: Principal The Principal position offers career growth for professionals with significant experience. Initial responsibilities include:
Providing day‑to‑day leadership of client projects and relationships, working with Partners and sharing responsibility for engagement success.
Leading and managing complex programs to ensure on‑time delivery that meets agreed goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice and technical competence.
Guiding and influencing clients across all situations, including the commercial process, becoming trusted advisors.
Engaging fully in business development by identifying new and expanded opportunities.
Creating intellectual capital through thought leadership, and staying knowledgeable on adjacent topics.
Developing others and building a followership to enhance the firm’s asset base.
Leading firm‑building activities, serving as a role model for firm values, and cultivating a strong personal brand internally and externally.
Desired Skills and Experience
7+ years of strategy consulting and/or Communications, Media & Technology industry experience.
Strong background in conceptual problem solving and analytical skills.
Track record of leading and managing teams and delivering on tight deadlines in fast‑paced environments.
Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives.
Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
Willingness to travel (at least 50% of the time).

Compensation The applicable base salary range for this role is $235K – $265K. Base pay will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
