Soni is partnered with a client looking for a
PR Strategist
to join our fast-growing team. This role is ideal for a strategic, media-savvy communicator who thrives at the intersection of brand storytelling, and earned media. You’ll play a key role in shaping and executing media strategies, building strong press relationships, supporting brand partnerships, and serving as a trusted day-to-day partner to clients across sports, business, and lifestyle clients.
Responsibilities
Brainstorm, manage, and execute
proactive and reactive media relations
tied to client campaigns and always-on PR initiatives
Build, maintain, and expand a
strong roster of press contacts
across sports, business, and lifestyle media
Develop targeted media lists, pitch press, and
recalibrate strategies creatively
when approaches aren’t landing
Draft and edit a wide range of media materials, including
press releases, media alerts, pitches, talking points, statements, media lists, and partner-facing materials
Serve as the
proofreading and editing go-to , ensuring all materials are clear, polished, and error-free
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining
client-facing and internal trackers
and keeping timelines and deliverables up to date
Work toward becoming a
day-to-day client lead , including running client calls and managing ongoing communications
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment across media relations, partnerships, and campaign execution
Stay curious, proactive, and engaged as part of a
fast-growing, entrepreneurial team
Skills and experience
Bachelor’s Degree+
2–5 years (at least 1 year in a PR agency)
Compensation $65,000 - $80,000
