Job Overview The Manager, Business Sales role at T-Mobile leads the hiring, training, and development of a high-performing sales team responsible for outside direct sales in a specific geographic area. Job Responsibilities
Market share: Increase market share and achieve and exceed performance targets related to subscribers, revenue, and churn.
Sales quota: Meet or exceed overall sales quota for your assigned region.
Operational initiatives: Implement key operational initiatives in the field while maintaining high ethical and procedural standards.
Sales meetings: Coordinate and run frequent sales meetings.
Staff development: Interview, hire, train, and develop a staff of successful Account Executives; conduct ongoing mentoring/coaching in the field.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of related work experience OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
4–7 years verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience within a commissioned environment (Preferred)
2 Years people‑management responsibilities (Preferred)
2 Years telecommunications/technical sales (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Coaching: Strong coaching skills with the ability to conduct difficult conversations, such as change management. (Required)
Presentations: Talent to confidently make presentations to large groups as well as one‑on‑one. (Required)
Business Sales: Proven track record of high‑yield business sales success. (Required)
Negotiation: Well‑honed negotiating and closing skills, including communication, emotional intelligence, and problem‑solving. (Required)
Recruiting: Familiarity with basic HR/recruiting processes to attract and retain top sales talent. (Required)
Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, including inspiring and motivating teams, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. (Required)
