We work with some of the top research organizations and facilities in the country including multiple institutes at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Position Overview Axle is seeking a Project Director that will provide overall contract management and technical leadership for task areas supporting NIH. This role ensures effective coordination across computing services, data management, systems design, and analytic initiatives. This opportunity supports comprehensive computing services across multiple task areas, including project management, data management, computer programming, computing infrastructure, website development, systems design, statistical methodology, evaluation of NIH data and projects, and technical/administrative support. Key Responsibilities Provide overall contract execution oversight and technical leadership. Serve as primary interface with the NIH COR and Contracting Officer (CO). Oversee management of all task order efforts. Ensure successful execution of project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Lead kickoff meetings and performance reviews. Manage risk mitigation, staffing, and quality assurance activities. Ensure compliance with federal regulations and reporting requirements. Qualifications Experience managing large federal IT or biomedical contracts. Demonstrated leadership in computing, data management, or analytic environments. Strong stakeholder communication and contract oversight experience. Education Ten (10) years of progressive, successful experience managing complex projects. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related medical, scientific, or technical discipline. A Master's degree can be substituted with fifteen (15) years of proven experience managing complex projects and a Bachelor's degree. Salary Range $180,000 - $200,000 USD
