
HR Compliance Specialist

Please note: This is a full-time position. Applicants looking for part-time/contract work will not be considered.
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
Job Summary With growing populations of personnel, ALKU is seeking an HR professional with a desire to specialize in compliance. The Compliance Specialist will work within the Human Resources team as an independent person while collaborating with colleagues of all levels. This person will identify, investigate, report, inform, and advise to ensure the company’s operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Duties/Responsibilities
Remain up to date and knowledgeable on both U.S. employment law as well as other countries in which ALKU does business
Work closely with General Counsel to respond to and see through any legal matters
Collaborate with internal teams such as Payroll, Personnel Services, Client Services, Billing, etc. to proactively and reactively research and problem-solve
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance-related training materials & tools to present and teach to peers
Respond to inquiries related to pay transparency, leave, worker’s compensation, surveys, etc.
Conduct audits to identify compliance gaps and execute on necessary changes
Assist with other general HR responsibilities as needed
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
General knowledge of employment laws, legal codes, procedures, and other related standards
Time management skills that support urgency and diligence
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Fast learner

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree is required
Two to three years of compliance experience is required
Human Resources accreditation and/or experience working for a staffing company preferred but not required
