The Role As a Business Development Intern, you will join our Business Development organization in Houston. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to how a high‑performing Business Development team generates net‑new pipeline through structured outbound prospecting, data‑driven research, and early‑stage customer engagement.

Your Impact

Support data integrity, enrichment and hygiene initiatives within Salesforce (SFCD).

Conduct hands‑on account and contact research, providing operational support for BDR initiatives.

Assist with identifying key buyer personas and stakeholders within target accounts.

Contribute to BDR productivity and performance optimization by supporting high‑impact activities and outbound strategies.

Maintain accurate records and documentation to support outbound execution.

Complete ASPEN Intern Sales Onboarding/Training.

Learn and support Aspen Tech's Business Development program, processes, and outbound strategy.

Collaborate with the Business Development team on active initiatives and projects.

Learn the critical elements of a solid outbound business development process, including research, targeting, and early engagement.

Gain hands‑on experience using core BD technologies, including: Salesforce (SFDC), Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator

What You'll Need

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Highly organized with attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.

Self‑motivated and eager to learn in a team‑oriented environment.
