Responsibilities
Identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor inherent risks in business processes, products, and activities within marketing.
Partner closely with business leaders to ensure risks are understood, controls are designed and operating effectively, and activities support safe and sound banking practices in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Execute risk and control self‑assessments, oversee issue identification and management, document, track and report risk metrics, and escalating emerging issues as needed.
Serve as the primary risk and compliance liaison between the business and Second Line Risk and Compliance functions, including change management for all products, services and delivery channels.
Collaborate with Second Line Risk and Compliance and Internal Audit during reviews, exams and issue resolution.
Promote a strong risk and compliance culture by embedding risk awareness into day‑to‑day business activities and training business units.
Ensure all marketing materials and activities meet regulatory and internal risk standards by reviewing content, developing policies, training teams, monitoring campaigns, and conducting risk assessments.
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of credit union regulations and standards (e.g., BSA/AML, OFAC, UDAAP, privacy, lending compliance)
Understanding of/experience in the marketing line of business
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to develop policies, conduct audits, and perform risk assessments
Proficiency with compliance management systems and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing marketing, including Truth in Advertising laws, UDAP/UDAAP, the CAN‑SPAM Act, TCPA, and state marketing compliance requirements.

Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
Qualifications
5-8 years of related experience.
General and business knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
Certification in Compliance (CRCM and/or NCCO) preferred; Certified Advertising Compliance Professional (CACP) preferred.

Compensation Overview The salary range for this position is $132,000/yr – $214,000/yr. The actual amount offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job‑related considerations.
