Job Description
We are seeking a
Customer Service / Order Processing Representative
to support patients and internal teams in a fastpaced, office-based environment. This role focuses on patient communication, documentation review, and accurate order processing while maintaining high service and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Handle approximately
30 inbound calls per day
and
40‑50 outbound calls , primarily related to order processing and referrals
Assist with
walk‑in patients
at this location and perform
basic DME order entry
Navigate multiple EMR systems to obtain, enter, and review required documentation
Accurately enter and track authorizations, expiration dates, and other key data in the EMR
Communicate regularly with Customer Service and Management regarding trends or issues with insurance carriers
Verify insurance carriers within the company database and request updates when new carriers are identified
Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer guidelines, providing updates and discussing next steps or alternative options
Answer all patient calls and emails promptly while working through referrals and patient needs
Document all call activity and interactions in accordance with standard operating procedures
Process, verify, and submit documentation and orders accurately and efficiently
Meet
quality assurance standards
and other performance metrics
Assist in resolving customer complaints and support problem‑solving efforts
Utilize company tools and resources, including Authorization Guidelines, Insurance Guidelines, Fee Schedules, NPI, PECOS, and reference materials
Required Skills
Customer service experience (call center or office-based)
Strong
time management
and
multi‑tasking
abilities
Ability to problem‑solve and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
Basic computer skills and comfort navigating multiple systems

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Forest, IL.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
