About the role The Senior Flavorist will be responsible for leading flavor creation projects across the Americas region, delivering innovative taste solutions that meet customer and business needs. This role requires a highly experienced flavor professional who can independently lead projects, develop new flavor systems, collaborate across global teams, and represent the company as a technical expert. The ideal candidate brings deep technical mastery, strong commercial awareness, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of flavorists. Key responsibilities Lead and execute
flavor creation projects
within the Americas region. Independently develop flavors
aligned with customer briefs and business priorities. Take
full ownership of assigned projects , ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery. Proactively explore and test
new raw materials and ingredients . Leverage
Kerry technologies
to deliver differentiated and competitive taste solutions. Provide
creative and technical leadership , collaborating with global R&D teams to maximize technology platforms. Work closely with
all EUMs (End‑Use Markets)
to support customer needs. Deliver and lead
technical presentations
to customers. Interact with key customers (regional and global) to understand needs and translate them into winning solutions. Contribute to the
development and training of emerging flavorists
within the team. Perform
physical, chemical, and organoleptic analyses
of flavors. Ensure all work meets
regulatory requirements
relevant to flavor creation and applications. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (applications, sensory, regulatory, operations, marketing, sales) to optimize execution and deliver the best
Taste & Nutrition solutions . Participate in
sensory panels
as needed. Represent Kerry at
industry events , supporting networking, company visibility, and talent scouting. Qualifications and skills Bachelor’s degree in
Food Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering , or a closely related field. Technical Experience 10–15 years
of hands-on flavor creation experience (bench-level work required). SFC certification
strongly preferred. Strong background in
organic chemistry, food chemistry, and flavor applications . Excellent
problem-solving and math skills
for formulation and calculation work. Strong troubleshooting capabilities across flavor systems and applications. Highly discerning
sense of smell and taste , with proven sensory acuity. A seasoned flavorist with deep technical expertise and a creative mindset. Confident working independently while also contributing to global innovation strategies. Skilled communicator with customer-facing experience. Passionate about mentoring and developing junior flavorists. Able to balance scientific rigor, creativity, and commercial understanding to deliver impactful solutions. The pay range for this position is $146,800 - $261,000 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
