We are dedicated to serving our community with award-winning publications and innovative media solutions. *Summary* We’re looking for a motivated, community-minded News Reporter who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and do meaningful local journalism. *Job description* This full-time position serves our award winning bi-weekly print newspaper, daily website and app, and daily email newsletter. You’ll cover the stories that matter most to our readers: city government, school boards, courts and crime, and local events. You'll write multiple stories per week, attend public meetings, and manage our daily newsletter — helping ensure our community stays informed every day. * *Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree in journalism from an accredited college. * 1–3 years of journalism or digital media experience (internships or freelance accepted) * Strong newswriting and local reporting skills * Experience or familiarity with CMS platforms * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shift priorities quickly * Strong attention to detail, including grammar, AP Style, and fact-checking skills * Reliable transportation for local reporting assignments *Call-To-Action *If you're ready to make your mark in local journalism and connect with your community through impactful storytelling, we invite you to apply today!
