Position Summary
The Subject Matter Expert 4 is responsible for providing expert-level technical guidance and strategic advice in a highly specialized area of organizational or project management, supporting complex and high-impact initiatives across the organization. Serving as a recognized national authority, they apply deep subject matter expertise to solve unique challenges, inform decision-making, and develop tailored strategies in collaboration with stakeholders. They also leverage extensive experience to mentor others, strengthen organizational capability, and drive effective execution of specialized objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide expert-level advice and recommendations in a specialized field to support organizational or project objectives Apply specialized knowledge and experience to address unique or complex challenges Serve as a recognized authority and national leader in the applicable subject matter Support decision-making by providing technical guidance to leadership and project teams Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies and solutions tailored to specialized needs Mentor or guide less experienced personnel in the subject matter area, as appropriate Required Qualifications
PhD or Master's degree with specialized training, or Bachelor's degree with extensive specialized training relevant to the task Professional certification preferred (e.g., PE, PMP, or other industry-recognized license) 25+ years of related experience, including 20+ years in a highly specialized area applicable to the task Recognized as a national leader in the applicable subject matter Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong communicationand organizational skills Ability to work through problems quickly and effectively and define a clear path to resolution Preferred Qualifications
