Job Description:

• Answers phones and greets patients and guests using outstanding customer service skills.

• Registers patients upon arrival, completes registrations timely, collects co-payments, and scans paperwork into the system.

• Deescalates patient conflicts by adhering to facility policies and mission.

• Reviews, facilitates, and validates requests for imaging records for patients and physician offices, releasing records in accordance with HIPAA, federal, and state laws.

• Researches scripts, previous forms, insurance cards, orders, and changes, and cancels exams as needed using the scheduling program.

• Operates office equipment such as printers, fax machines, computers, scanners, film printers, and image importing/exporting equipment and software.

• Communicates results with physicians, physician offices, and other clinical personnel continuously, including during system downtime.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficient with computer programs and ability to quickly learn various healthcare systems and software • Experience/knowledge of computer systems & typing skills, with the ability to type and perform order entry accurately • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good telephone communication skills • Knowledge of Medical Terminology • Hospital or patient care experience [Preferred] • Processes much confidential information and is the first point of contact for outpatients and their families; primary department interface with Physician office staff • Displays professional interactions with all levels of internal and external customers as demonstrated by work history and interview process • Strong attention to detail

Education: • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience: • 1+ year of customer service experience [Required] • 1+ year medical office and radiology experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$15.15 - $22.73
