Business Development Manager
U.S. Bank is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to support growth in our Co-Brand Credit Card portfolio. This role plays a key part in expanding U.S. Bank's consumer and small business card business by identifying, evaluating, and securing new co-brand partnerships for our Payments: Consumer & SMB business line. The ideal candidate brings relevant card program management and/or business development experience, strong communication skills and financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively across a large organization. Key Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new co-brand partnership opportunities across industries such as financial services, T&E, automotive, and small business verticals Lead the end-to-end business development lifecycle for assigned deals including prospecting, pitch development, RFP responses, and contract negotiation. Build compelling partnership proposals that clearly articulate U.S. Bank's value proposition and differentiation Collaborate with multiple internal groups across the bank -- including product development, marketing, risk management, finance, and relationship management to ensure U.S. Bank is putting forth compelling and market-leading proposals Preferred Qualifications: 510+ years of experience in payments-related business development or co-brand partnerships Strong understanding of co-brand program economics and credit card P&Ls Demonstrated success building executive-level relationships and managing complex deal cycles. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across a matrixed environment and influence senior stakeholders. Analytical mindset with experience developing financial models and business cases. Integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to U.S. Bank values. Location Expectations: This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.
