Beansprouts Day Camp has been offering children in preschool through 5th-grade fun in the summer since 1980! At Beansprouts, we have a full program of activities ranging from outdoor sports, indoor games, arts & crafts, and talent shows, as well as weekly swimming and field trips for our oldest children. We are currently seeking a part-time Aquatics Director to join us for our 2026 Day Camp season. Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Aquatics Director will supervise our swim program for children ages 4 through 10. If you have prior experience maintaining a fun and safe swimming program for camps or schools, we'd like to invite you to learn more about us! Responsibilities: Supervise our campers in a pool setting in a responsible and nurturing manner. The campers' safety and positive experience are of utmost importance. Manage and supervise lifeguards and swim instructors. Be punctual and report to work on days as agreed. Your attendance is important. Adhere to Beansprouts' policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook and other Beansprouts guidelines. Work collaboratively with the Camp Director throughout the Spring to create and plan swim programs and schedules. Implement and oversee swim programs in conjunction with the Camp Director throughout the Summer Hours: Day shift, 9 am - 12:15 pm 3 days a week from 6/29-8/19; Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays If you'd like to spend the summer with us, please send us your resume for consideration. Requirements: For consideration, you must: Be at least 21 years old Have at least one season of experience as a camp Aquatics Director at a NYS camp OR at least two seasons of lifeguarding experience Have a valid CPR certification or be able to attend a CPR training session prior to the start of camp Successfully complete the Lifeguard Supervision and Management training course or be able to complete the course prior to the start of camp Must attend an Aquatic Orientation Session through NYC Department of Health (to be scheduled after hiring is complete)
