Strategic Social Media Strategist
Botanic Tonics is seeking a Strategic Social Media Strategist to architect and operationalize a unified social ecosystem that drives brand relevance, cultural participation, and measurable business growth across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn. This role moves beyond channel management into full funnel platform strategy. You will translate brand positioning into platform native content systems, develop scalable creator and ambassador frameworks, and leverage social listening and community intelligence to inform campaign planning, product innovation, retail strategy, and lifecycle marketing. You will oversee both organic and paid social direction while ensuring each platform contributes to awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention in alignment with broader growth objectives. The ideal candidate blends strategic rigor with cultural fluency and understands how to activate community led growth within a regulated 21+ functional supplement category. Key Responsibilities Lead development and execution of platform-specific social strategies across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn Define the role each platform plays within the marketing funnel (awareness, consideration, conversion, loyalty, advocacy) Assist with developing integrated organic and paid social strategies that support DTC revenue, retail sell through, subscription acquisition, and brand storytelling Translate campaign and product launch priorities into platform-native content systems optimized for discovery, engagement, and conversion Evolve social from a campaign-based execution to an always-on growth engine integrated with CRM, loyalty, and lifecycle marketing initiatives Community Intelligence and Cultural Insight Build and operationalize a structured social listening and community intelligence framework across owned and earned platforms (including Reddit and creator ecosystems) Analyze community conversations, creator trends, and competitor activity to generate actionable insights that inform messaging, innovation, and campaign strategy Partner cross-functionally with Brand, PR, Creative, Paid Media, and Leadership to deliver integrated campaigns Establish structured feedback loops between Social, Marketing, Product, CX, and Retail teams to ensure customer voice informs strategic decision making Develop engagement frameworks that activate loyalists and advocates around launches, partnerships, and tentpole moments Creator, Influencer, and Ambassador Strategy Design and implement a scalable creator and ambassador ecosystem aligned to key growth verticals (e.g., sports, lifestyle, functional wellness communities) Manage end-to-end influencer partnerships including identification, contracting, briefing, performance tracking, and content rights management Build platform-specific creator playbooks that expand reach into emerging communities and support digital and retail objective Equip ambassadors and loyalists with tools, messaging, and assets that enable authentic brand participation Develop supplemental content as needed (recipes, short-form video, B-roll, trend-responsive content, etc.) Measurement, Testing, and Optimization Define KPIs beyond vanity metricsfocusing on engagement quality, share of voice, conversion influence, and community participation Partner with Growth and Analytics teams to measure performance through incrementally testing, brand lift analysis, and conversion modeling Build structured testing frameworks across creative formats, messaging, and engagement tactics Continuously optimize strategy based on performance data, cultural shifts, and evolving business priorities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred 4 to 7 years of experience leading social media strategy and community engagement for a high growth consumer brand. CPG experience strongly preferred Demonstrated success building platform specific strategies across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn Experience integrating organic and paid social initiatives to drive both brand equity and revenue growth Proven ability to manage agencies, creators, and cross functional partners in a fast paced environment Strong analytical mindset with experience translating performance data and cultural insights into actionable strategies Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external partners Familiarity with social listening tools, influencer platforms, and emerging discovery and answer engine trends Experience filming, editing, creating, posting content for social media channels (FB, IG, TikTok, etc) Benefits Overview: Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Plans, 401k Match, Family Leave, PTO & Paid Holiday Schedule.
