Description
Dykema Gossett PLLC, a leading national law firm, is recruiting for a Business Development and Marketing Specialist in our Dallas office. The Specialist supports the Litigation/White Collar practice and the Business Development and Marketing team, executing daily and strategic initiatives, managing special projects, and pursuing business development opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing materials, including practice descriptions, pitch decks, brochures, attorney bios, client alerts, collateral, legal ranking submissions, and client success stories.
Help execute a broad range of marketing and business development strategies, plans, and projects, tracking and following up on specific efforts.
Respond to attorney requests for marketing materials and firm information, coordinating with managers as appropriate.
Conduct research on clients, prospects, competitors, and industries for client meetings, RFP responses, and new business opportunities.
Interpret internal data sources to uncover cross‑selling and other business development opportunities.
Assist in organizing profile‑raising activities such as events, webinars, sponsorships, media engagement, community involvement, and rankings.
Participate in and coordinate special projects to improve processes and create new marketing tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Minimum 5 years of business development or marketing experience with a professional services firm, preferably with litigation and white‑collar practice knowledge.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent training through work experience.
Strong research, analytical, Microsoft Office, and social media skills.
Strategic thinking, tactical planning, and pragmatic execution while managing competing priorities.
Client‑service orientation and team collaboration.
High detail orientation and accuracy.
Project and team management experience, willing to “roll up sleeves” to complete tasks.
Analytical and organizational skills with tolerance for uncertainty and ability to prioritize simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
Good judgment, tact, professionalism, and flexibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with individuals at all organization levels.
Ability to take direction and apply feedback.
Additional Information
May require travel to other offices and firm/client events.
