Job Summary Augusta University's Department of Art & Design seeks a full‑time Lecturer for Media Arts to begin August 2026. The appointment is nine‑month renewable and comprises a 90 % teaching and 10 % service workload. The position involves teaching post‑production courses in the BFA in Digital and Visual Storytelling curriculum and a survey course in digital tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) that supports BFA and BA programs. The role is not tenure‑track.
Responsibilities Teach post‑production courses within the BFA in Digital and Visual Storytelling curriculum.
Teach a survey course in digital tools covering Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to support BFA and BA degree programs.
Contribute to departmental, college, and university service through committees and community engagement.
Required Qualifications MFA in Film Production, Digital Media Production, or an equivalent degree or training.
Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements for institutional accreditation; evidence of teaching ability; evidence of scholarly activity; successful experience (waived for new entrants who meet all other requirements); and desirable personal qualities assessed via interview, biographical data, and recommendations.

Shift / Salary / Benefits The position is academic‑year based, typically working August through May, with a full‑time equivalent (FTE) of 1.0. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and is subject to available funds.
