Justice At Last is an independent nonprofit law firm founded in 2015 by Rose Mukhar. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, it is the only organization exclusively focused on providing free legal representation to survivors of human trafficking, regardless of their age, gender, nationality, or type of trafficking. With a survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach, Justice At Last serves clients across counties such as Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara. The organization also offers specialized training to empower survivors, helping them rebuild their lives. Justice At Last envisions a world where survivors can define and achieve justice on their own terms and thrive through that justice.
Role Description
This is a volunteer virtual role for a Social Media Volunteer. The volunteer will be responsible for managing and creating content for Justice At Last’s social media channels, ensuring a consistent and engaging online presence. Tasks include scheduling posts, monitoring audience engagement, conducting social media campaigns, and using tools to analyze and optimize performance. Collaboration with the team to align all communications with the organizational mission and values is a key part of the role.
Qualifications
Proficiency in social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
Experience in creating engaging content and implementing social media strategies
Strong skills in writing, editing, and visual storytelling
Knowledge of social media analytics tools and an ability to use data to optimize engagement
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Passion for social justice and supporting survivors of human trafficking
Familiarity with nonprofit organizations, human rights, or advocacy work is a plus
Previous volunteer or professional experience in social media or digital marketing is a bonus
