Position Status: Part-Time (16–20 hrs/week); Mondays & Wednesdays, with occasional Fridays and events
Pay Rate: $19–23/hr

Burgeon is looking for a creative, organized, and driven Social Media Coordinator to support and optimize our digital marketing programs. Our brand has grown exponentially over the years and is now known as one of the top breweries in Southern California. We are looking for someone who can significantly contribute to that growth. We prioritize hard work and creative thinking, and are excited to introduce another voice to our team of creative professionals.
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Social Media Coordinator is to provide creative and content for all marketing channels (social media, website, campaigns, print collateral, and events). You will be expected to partner with the Marketing Manager to conceptualize and execute strategies and schedules to increase engagement and reach.
Duties of the Social Media Coordinator include the creation and collation of content, posting at specified frequency to social media channels and maintaining an active content calendar, developing various digital marketing materials, tracking campaign progress, updating online assets, and handling general digital marketing activities. Your creative thinking skills and strategies will be an essential part of driving our digital narrative, enhancing our brand image, improving communication with customers, and encouraging business growth through effective campaigns.
Hours
This is a part-time, year-round, hourly position requiring in-person commitment at our Carlsbad brewery each week, with regular visits to our satellite locations for content generation. Typical working days include Mondays and Wednesdays, with occasional Fridays and evening/weekend availability for events or special activities.
Job Responsibilities
Provide creative and content for all marketing channels (social media, website, campaigns, print collateral, and events)
Content creation, development, and editing including photography, videography, & copywriting
Create, maintain, & implement content calendars including frequent posts to social media channels
Promote product and service launches
Research market trends
Identify and engage with relevant media & influencers
Support marketing initiatives
Social media management including responding to comments, DMs, etc.
Produce product images for beer, merch, etc.
Report directly to the Marketing Manager
Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by company co-founders and supervisor
Required Education, Skills, & Experience
BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related degree preferred
2+ years of marketing or communications experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Advanced & verifiable photography & photo editing skills; video editing a plus
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere)
Experience launching and executing social media campaigns across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
Well-versed in internet culture, social media trends, and pop culture
Detail-oriented with excellent grammar, copywriting, & verbal communication skills
Experience with website/e-commerce management a plus
Highly organized
Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
Understanding of Burgeon’s unique voice & values
Team player eager to work inter-departmentally to achieve marketing goals
