Job Description - Coordinator I - Marketing & Initiatives (226 Days) (RTP20260324-018) Responsibilities Coordinate, develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote school meals to consumers. Collaborate and implement nutrition and wellness education initiatives that support student health and educational achievement. Maintain positive social media status for the department. Create and distribute media releases, assist with requests, and work with district and community partners on a variety of initiatives. With oversight from the Marketing Supervisor, develop, implement and execute all marketing promotions in support of driving increased meal participation and wellness awareness. Generate marketing content (original text, images, graphics, video and HTML), edit and publish content that builds meaningful connections with the community, and engage on conversations on behalf of the department. Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics and effectiveness; develop strategies to increase engagement with department platforms; report in a timely manner. Coordinate Farm to School activities with campuses, district staff, distributors and community partners. Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the district's social content. Work with the Menu Planning Team and digital content vendors to ensure goals for education and nutrition awareness are reached through menu application and digital monitors. Research, prepare and compile data and other documents for projects, presentations, articles and reports. Collaborate with the Menu Planning Team on taste testing of new and existing products to assess and report on acceptability utilizing surveys and Google analytics. Compose the department's newsletter, articles, presentations, talking points and other digital and printed material. Provide regular feedback to the supervisor regarding the status of project progress, social media strategies and promotions; ensure all written documentation has the supervisor's approval before proceeding. Occasionally required to lift or exert force of up to 25 pounds. Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Nutrition Dietetics, Hospitality, Science or a directly related field. Two years of experience in direct digital marketing design, social media or a relevant field. Experience with public speaking for interviews and presentations; excellent writing and editing skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Experience managing marketing promotions using various techniques is a plus. Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, G Suite, and video editing software is a plus. Superb communication (both orally and in writing) and public speaking skills to connect with diverse cultures and backgrounds in English and Spanish (preferred) through focus groups, interviews, presentations and promotions. Ability to assimilate complex ideas and detailed information into well‑written, spoken, and visual communication. Excellent organizational, management and interpersonal skills; strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities; strong attention to detail and ability to manage many concurrent projects. Demonstrated knowledge of nutrients, menu planning and wellness; familiarity with Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the Institute of Medicine (IOM); understanding of technology and automation in data capture and analysis; ability to analyze productivity performance results and take appropriate action. Ability to create engaging content for the district's social media presence, keeping channels updated, brand‑focused, and seeking new ways to connect with customers and stakeholders. Ability to deliver creative web content (text, image, and video); expertise in using social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others; well versed in the story brand framework and the art of storytelling. Ability to work outside the normal office schedule (for events, health fairs, PTO meetings, etc.). Ability to create monthly, quarterly and annual reports. #J-18808-Ljbffr
